Hi, I'm Eleana Newton
I’m a filmmaker, photographer, and all-around creative with a deep love for storytelling. Especially the kind that captures real human moments and the wild beauty of the outdoors.
My work lives somewhere between analogue and digital, between the planned and the spontaneous. I’ve directed, produced, shot, and edited short films, and I keep a steady 35mm photography practice on the side. Whether it’s a moving image or a still frame, I’m always chasing that feeling of truth. Something that feels lived-in and honest.
I studied Film and Digital Media, concentrating in Production, at UC Santa Cruz. I focused on learning how to bring ideas to life from concept to final cut. Right now, I work at 3 Ball Media Group, a production company focused on unscripted television. I’m learning the behind-the-scenes ropes of development and production from the inside.
I know being a multi-talented artist can look a little all over the place. But this is how I work best. Combining visual mediums, jumping between formats, staying hands-on in every part of the process. I sew. I surf. I explore. I create things that feel real and grounded.
At the heart of it all, I want to make things that connect. That breathe. That hold space for curiosity, joy, and human experience. Whether it's a short film, a series, or a single frame.
